- Avi SWow we were blown away. The menu looked good and we had been there previously with different owners. This was a completely different experience. We started with the tater tots and damn.. They were tasty. I ordered the haddock plate while my buddy ordered the meat lovers flat bread. In addition we ordered some draft beers that were tasty. The service was absolutely fun and fantastic. We really enjoy places that can have fun and not be overly stuffy. The taters were kind of amazing to be honest. They didn't have an overwhelming amount of stuff on them and they were crispy and soft. Slick. My fish plate was great and as usual I ordered my fries a wee bit on the crispy side. Chef got it and they were yummy. I mean you have to understand there are fries and there are Fries. Well done chef. The flatbread was mouth watering and yummy. I was given a piece at the end and it was yummy. Have I mentioned the staff? We'll be back and are adding this place to our regular repertoire for our visits...
- Beth GWe found this place randomly last night and was the best meal we had during our whole 7-day vacation so we came back today. Hands down the best garlic bread with cheese. Amazing food all around with a great waitress and manager! Picture of garlic bread, Italian sub and clam strips because they were the best! The outdoor seating was spacious and comfortable. Our kids also really enjoyed the smash burgers and gumball machine.
- Matthew BThe smash burgers at a Merland's are exceptional. Both our Carmie Smashburger and our BBQ Bacon Smashburger were packed with tasty, crispy, beefy goodness. Complex flavors abound and compliment the seared beef patties. We ate here last year on vacation and make it a point to return while in the area. The fries are standard hand cut fries - good but not totally amazing like the burgers are. The kids menu has the standard assortment of foods that kids expect - my boys were happy. We have only eaten in the outdoor patio area, and it is nice. It can get hot bordering on the parking lot, but the umbrellas shade you nicely. Service has been solid on both visits to the restaurant. We plan to return again when in the area.
